Nilupa Perera
Chief Operating Officer

A Business graduate with over 11 years experience including 6 years experience at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) covering Listings, Business Development and Regulatory Affairs.

Prior to Joining Kenanga Investment Corp Ltd, Nilupa was attached to the Bank of Ceylon Investment Banking Division.

Nilupa graduated from the University of Colombo with a class in BBA (Specializing in Finance) and also holds a MA in Financial Economics from the same institution. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and an Associate Member of the Certified Management Accountants Sri Lanka.

Shashi Jayawardena
Head of Operations – Fund Management

An investment Banker with over 8 years experience in the Banking & Finance Sector, Shashi brings along close upon to 6 years of Investment Banking experience that he has gained through his previous employers The HongKong & Shangahi Banking Corporation (HSBC) and Nations Trust Bank where he specialized in the Retail Banking & Private Banking . He specializes in areas such as Portfolio Management, Investment Banking, Client Relationship Management and Sales and Marketing.

Currently Shashi heads the operations of the Fund Management unit of KICL where he is aggressively involved in growing KICL’s client portfolios and drawing up its future marketing strategies. He Managers KICL’s client portfolios as part of KICL’s front end operation.

Shashi has a Diploma in Accounting & Finance from the Institute Of Commercial Management UK ( ICM) and is currently reading for a Advance Certificate in Wealth Management held by the Charted Institute Of Securities & Investments UK (CISI).

Rumain Fernando
Compliance Officer

Rumain is part of KICL’s Fund Management unit and operates as KICL’s in-house compliance officer. She brings close upon to 6 years experience in the field of compliance in stock brokering firms and has been a part of a leading Stock Brokering firm in Sri Lanka covering Compliance, Finance & Capital Market Operations.

She is Graduate of the University of Sabaragamuwa specializing in Financial Management and is currently reading for a MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University Of Moratuwa.

Sarada Tennakoon
Financial Analyst

Sarada is presently serving in the capacity of Financial Analyst in the Capital Market Activities and Corporate Restructuring divisions of KICL. He is actively involved in operations related to Private placements, Introductions, Company valuations. He also rendereds Corporate Finance solutions to leading Companies across diversified sectors such as Finance, Hotel, Food & Beverage, Media and Trading etc

Prior to joining KICL he has gained experience in the fields of Internal audit, Accounting, Finance and XBRL reporting.

He is a CIMA Passed Finalist and also a CFA Level 2 candidate.

Anupa Dananjaya Wijesekara
Investment Analyst

Dananjaya started his career as an Audit trainee at Ernst & young and has gained 2 years experience in Accounting, Finance and eXtensible Business Reporting Language(XBRL). Currently He is serving in the capacity of Investment Analyst in the Fund Management division of KICL and is involved in customized portfolio management for corporates and individual clients.

Dananjaya is a CIMA Passed Finalist and also a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 candidate.

Rasheed Sheriff
Trainee Research Analyst

A young energetic fresh graduate with a BA (Hons) in Finance, Accounting & Management from the University of Nottingham. Rasheed is KICL’s in house full time Research Analyst attached to the Fund Management unit.

Rasheed currently focuses on in depth research on companies listed in The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) as well as Fixed Income Securities in Sri Lanka. He also plays a role in KICL client portfolio management by communicating ideas and knowledge to Portfolio Managers.

He is currently reading for “Diploma in Capital Markets” an international qualification offered by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
